Pettersson and Findus Bring Christmas Magic to Traunstein
When the November wind blows through the streets, a small, warm world of stage opens in the St. Oswald parish hall: The Puppet Theater Kunterbunt presents the lovingly staged children's play Pettersson Gets Christmas Visitors on November 3, 2026. The performance combines humorous puppetry, festive atmosphere, and a story about friendship, helpfulness, and the magic of shared Christmas preparations.
A Christmas Adventure with Heart
Cat Findus is eagerly anticipating Christmas. But when Pettersson twists his ankle and cannot go to the city, the holiday preparations start to falter. A Christmas Eve with potatoes and carrots? That's not an option for Findus. With courage, mischief, and the support of the neighborhood, the adventure begins.
The dramaturgy is aimed directly at young audiences: A clear plot, comical situations, and the lively relationship between Pettersson and Findus create a playful approach to themes of togetherness and security. The Puppet Theater Kunterbunt works with large hand puppets made from lime wood, live-voiced characters, and lovingly designed sets.
Lively Puppetry for the Entire Family
The production unfolds its effect from being close to the stage. Moving figures, direct addresses, and an imaginative theater atmosphere allow children to actively immerse themselves in the events. Amid small mishaps, surprising ideas, and festive anticipation, a stage experience emerges that families can enjoy together.
The performance lasts about 45 to 50 minutes and includes two short breaks. According to the puppet theater, the play is suitable for children from around two years of age. Babies receive free admission at the performances of the Puppet Theater Kunterbunt.
Performance in the St. Oswald Parish Hall
The performance begins on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the St. Oswald parish hall in Traunstein. Tickets are usually available at the box office 30 minutes before the start of the performance at the Puppet Theater Kunterbunt shows. The ticket price depends on the respective venue.
