Biblical Guiding Principles for Faith and Future
The Bible tells of God's companionship and opens up possibilities for action in various life situations. In the second semester of the Senior Citizens' Study Program Christianity of the Future, the Catholic Adult Education Center Traunstein invites participants to examine New Testament texts in light of their parallels in the First or Old Testament. Thus, theological education is connected with personal faith experience, joint reflection, and a hopeful outlook on the future of Christianity.
Five Afternoons with Biblical Perspectives
On five Tuesdays, central guiding principles of Christian spirituality will be the focus. Topics range from rising up as a fundamental attitude to hospitality as Jesus' lifestyle and encouragements for prophetic action, as well as promises of salvation for all nations and the connections between the Torah and the Sermon on the Mount.
New Testament in Dialogue with the First Testament
The event deepens the understanding of biblical contexts and makes visible how Jewish and Christian traditions are interconnected in the texts. The interpretation of the Holy Scripture thus gains a theological and life-related horizon. Memory, present, and future enter into a spiritual dialogue.
Community Faith Education
In Conference Room 1 of the Steinhaus at the St. Michael Campus, there is space for concentrated listening, exchange, and personal reflection. The study program is accompanied by Dr. Christine Abart, Dr. Dr. Christoph Hentschel, and study coordinator Silvia Nett-Kleyboldt. The offer is aimed at people who wish to expand their biblical competence and reflect on the future of Christianity from their faith.
Dates and Registration
The first date takes place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Further dates will follow on October 20 and 27, as well as November 10 and 17, 2026.
