Brotherhood as a Path to a Mindful Creation Spirituality
When the earth is understood not merely as a resource but as a shared living space and counterpart, the view on one’s own actions also changes. The workshop invites participants to rediscover spirituality in everyday life and to allow relationships characterized by mutual respect, responsibility, and connection to flourish.
From Hierarchical Thinking to Shared Responsibility
The focus is on a shift in perspective: away from a mindset that seeks to dominate people, things, and nature, toward an attitude of brotherhood. The earth appears as a common home, in which all living beings are connected. This viewpoint opens up a spiritual approach to questions of sustainable living, social responsibility, and respectful coexistence.
Benedictine and Franciscan Perspectives
The workshop brings the Benedictine and Franciscan traditions into conversation. Both spiritual paths draw attention to simplicity, mindfulness, gratitude, and the dignity of creation. Through shared reflection, it becomes clear how religious traditions can provide impulses for a contemporary creation spirituality.
The Everyday as a Spiritual Experience Space
A particular question concerns the items that people use daily. Can they be seen as sacred altar vessels, treated consciously, gratefully, and carefully? Participants explore how objects, living spaces, and habits can become starting points for a religious experience. Calmness, reflection, and an attentive gaze at one’s own actions create space for a deepened faith experience.
Mindfulness Toward Fellow Creatures
The event focuses on an attitude that begins in everyday life: in the way we interact with people, animals, plants, things, and natural resources. The spiritual community of the workshop can generate concrete suggestions for a responsible life. Prayer, reflection, and exchange connect with the question of how powerful actions arise from an inner attitude.
An Evening for Faith, Exchange, and New Perspectives
The workshop takes place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 19:00 to 20:30 in the Oratory of the St. Michael Study Seminar in Traunstein. The participation fee is 5 euros. Registration with the Catholic Education Center Traunstein is required.
Visitors can expect an inspiring evening with theological impulses, spiritual reflection, and open exchange on non-hierarchical relationships, brotherhood, and mindful interaction with creation. Those looking to rediscover religious traditions and take concrete impulses for daily life will experience a space for encounter and deepening.
