Developing effective climate scenarios together with En-ROADS

How can the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement be achieved? The interactive climate workshop Solutions instead of Powerlessness invites you on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, to the Kardinal-Döpfner-Saal at the Campus St. Michael in Traunstein. Under the guidance of Ulrich Ständer, a practical event experience is created that makes climate protection understandable, tangible, and collectively livable.

Co-creating climate policy

The focus is on the scientifically-based simulator En-ROADS. Participants contribute their own experiences and ideas, formulate proposals for measures, and develop a common scenario from this. Instead of abstract debates, a lively working atmosphere emerges where decisions become immediately visible.

Slide controls show the consequences of decisions

With just a few adjustments in the simulator, the depicted impacts on the climate and energy system change. Graphics and images make visible how individual measures and bundles of measures interact. This illustrative organization of the workshop supports a well-founded target group approach and facilitates entry into complex relationships.

Together from knowledge to action

The workshop connects adult education, climate communication, and practical event planning for a sustainable future. In exchange, participants develop a better understanding of the options available for action and the contribution each individual can make. The atmosphere in the audience thrives on shared reflection, discussion, and experimentation.

An evening with concrete perspectives

The Catholic Educational Work Traunstein organizes the evening as part of its educational work with a focus on ecology. The KBW stands for meaning-oriented, decentralized adult education in the Traunstein district and claims to reach numerous people annually with a wide range of events.

Those who wish to not only observe climate protection but also test interrelations themselves and discuss realistic solutions will experience an informative and interactive evening in the En-ROADS workshop. The event offers space for individual ideas, factual exchange, and new perspectives on a common future.
