Animal Encounters and Colorful Family Program at the Traunstein Animal Shelter
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Traunstein Animal Shelter will open its doors for a heartfelt family experience. From 12:00 to 17:00, visitors in Trenkmoos can expect a varied afternoon with a children's program, music, campfire, and an animal atmosphere.
Children's Laughter at Face Painting
At the face painting station, young guests can transform into colorful fantasy figures. This creative activity invites children to playfully step into new roles and unleash their imagination. The offering is designed to be child-friendly and provides a cheerful start to the afternoon.
Bread on a Stick and Campfire Create Time Together
At the campfire, it will be cozy: Families will experience a simple, sensual learning experience with warmth, aroma, and crispy dough while baking bread on a stick. Waiting, trying out, and sharing together strengthens the sense of community and makes the shelter day a special shared time.
Live Music, Coffee, and Cake
Live music accompanies the family program and creates a relaxed atmosphere on the premises. There will also be food and drinks as well as coffee and cake. Families can find space to exchange ideas, enjoy, and linger between activities.
Insights into the Work of the Animal Shelter
The Traunstein Animal Shelter is part of the Animal Protection Association Traunstein and Surroundings e.V. and takes care of animals from the district. A visit communicates to children and adults in an age-appropriate way why responsible animal protection, respectful treatment of animals, and volunteer engagement are important. The encounter offers learning fun and awakens curiosity about the needs of dogs, cats, and other shelter animals.
A Family Afternoon with Heart
The open house day combines entertainment, nature experience, and important values such as consideration, responsibility, and compassion. Children discover new impressions playfully, while parents gain insight into the work of the animal shelter. For the safety of the animals and guests, a respectful, calm interaction is particularly important.
Look forward to children's laughter, warm campfire atmosphere, music, and valuable encounters. The open house day at the Traunstein Animal Shelter invites families to spend time together and get to know local animal protection. Experience this family event live in Trenkmoos.
