Christmas magic with Kasperl at the Traunstein Christkindlmarkt
When the lights of the Christkindlmarkt shine, a loving Advent adventure begins for families: Katis Kasperltheater presents the play Kasperl helps the Christkind on Tuesday, December 22, 2026, on the stage at the town square in Traunstein. From 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, children and adults will experience a child-friendly story full of imagination, excitement, and Christmas spirit.
A Cold for the Christkind
Christmas is coming soon, but there is still much to be done for the Christkind. Then it gets a terrible cold. Fortunately, Kasperl is on hand to help the Christkind. The young viewers accompany him on this humorous Christmas adventure and eagerly watch how the important preparations succeed.
Child-friendly Puppetry with Learning Fun
Katis Kasperltheater combines imaginative characters, clear stories, and direct stage situations into a developmentally appropriate family experience. Puppetry promotes attention, imagination, language development, and social learning experiences. The manageable plot offers children an easy access to theater and invites them to marvel, laugh, and cheer along.
Experience from Theater and Education
The mobile stage of Katis Kasperltheater has been in existence since 2004 and performs in kindergartens, schools, theaters, senior homes, and at festivals and events. Katrin Schreiner gained experience at the Würzburg Kasperhaus, the Augsburg Puppenkiste, with other Kasperl performers, and at the Figurentheaterkolleg in Bochum. Puppets, props, and stage worlds are created in handcrafted design.
Festive Family Time in Traunstein
The performance takes place on the stage of the Christkindlmarkt at the town square. Market lights, wintry scents, and the lively Advent atmosphere create a charming setting for shared time. Families combine their theater visit with a stroll through the Christkindlmarkt and experience children's laughter in the midst of the Christmas season. Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are suitable for visiting outdoors.
