Design Your Own Books: Creative Family Workshop in Traunstein
An afternoon full of children's laughter, curiosity, and shared time awaits families on October 18, 2026, at the Campus St. Michael in Traunstein. In the creative workshop, individual notebooks, storybooks, or small artworks are created – from the first page to the self-designed cover.
From Blank Page to Personal Favorite Book
Step by step, families will learn simple bookbinding techniques. Children and adults will collaboratively develop their own ideas, choose shapes and patterns, and experience how paper, covers, and imagination come together to create a personal book. This enhances creativity, fine motor skills, and the feeling of having created something lasting together.
Analog Handicraft Meets Digital Design
The connection between traditional crafting and modern technology will be particularly exciting. With the cutting plotter, names, patterns, and small illustrations can be designed. This makes the books true one-of-a-kind pieces. The child-friendly learning experience demonstrates how digital tools can be used effectively, creatively, and joyfully.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun for Families
The workshop is aimed at families with children aged 8 to 12 years. The activities combine hands-on work, media education, and collaborative design. Children discover their own design ideas, practice focused work, and learn how planning, craft steps, and digital possibilities result in a finished product.
Creatively Together at Campus St. Michael
The event is offered by Campus St. Michael and Q3.Quartier für Medien.Bildung.Abenteuer. The Family Academy creates spaces where families can experiment with media, making, creativity, and education. Thus, the workshop provides a special family experience for all who love books and enjoy creating them.
Conclusion: A Self-Made Book as a Lasting Memory
At the end, each family takes home an individually designed piece and many new ideas for creative projects at home. Those wishing to combine shared time, craft experimentation, and digital creativity will experience an inspiring family afternoon in Traunstein. Register now and create a book together that is truly one of a kind.
