Hubert von Goisern brings alpine rock back to Traunstein
After a three-year stage break, Hubert von Goisern returns to the concert stages in 2027. On Sunday, June 20, 2027, the town square in Traunstein will turn into a large stage for distinctive dialect singing, driving rock sound, and the unmistakable connection of alpine folk music and modern sound worlds at the Stadtplatz Open Air.
Tradition meets musical border crossing
Hubert von Goisern is one of the defining voices of the New Folk Music and Alpine Rock. With songs like Heast as nit, Weit, weit weg, and Koa Hiatamadl, he made traditional sound colors accessible to a wide audience. His stage performance combines precise orchestration, powerful rhythm, and the characteristic coloring of the diatonic accordion with rock, blues, and world music influences.
The concert as chapter TOO LOUD!
The 2027 tour is titled TOO QUIET? & TOO LOUD! and brings Hubert von Goisern and his band to selected open-air venues. The concert in Traunstein is announced as Chapter 2: TOO LOUD! The program is based on the artist's desire to break expectations, shift styles, and bring the familiar to the stage in a new synchronization.
Live atmosphere in the open air
When the first instruments kick in at the town square, the urban concert vibe meets the alpine sound language. The audience's mood thrives on distinctive grooves, expansive melodies, and a stage performance that shifts between focused conducting, spontaneous energy, and raw earthiness. The open-air format creates space for a sound that feels immediate, physical, and detailed at the same time.
An artist with a rich musical history
Hubert von Goisern was born as Hubert Achleitner in the Salzkammergut and developed an independent style from folk music, rock, blues, and international influences. His album Entwederundoder reached high chart placements and was awarded double platinum. For his genre- and culture-bridging music, he received an honorary Amadeus Award; in 2024, he was also honored with the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for his life's work.
Conclusion: A special concert evening in Traunstein
The Stadtplatz Open Air promises an intense concert experience with Hubert von Goisern, his band, and a sound language between alpine rock, dialect music, and musical openness to the world. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert starts at 8:00 PM. Those who want to experience the energy of this music live in the open air should mark June 20, 2027, and secure their tickets in time.
