KultSommer at the town square: The heart of the open-air season

The town square once again becomes a large open-air stage during the warm season. According to current planning, regular, free-admission evenings are once again planned, bringing together locals and guests.

Planned weekly rhythm

• Tuesday: Brass music with regional ensembles, early evening with a family atmosphere.
• Wednesday: Acoustic, singer-songwriter, pop and folk sounds for a relaxed after-work evening.
• Thursday: More groove and dance potential – perfect summer evenings under the open sky.

Admission remains free. On site, cafés and restaurants provide to-go options; self-brought snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are generally unproblematic as long as the site rules are respected.

Summer highlights: Italian Night & Listening Picnic

This season also features atmospheric special formats:

• Italian Night: The town square transforms into a piazza with Mediterranean accents, live music, and urban flair.
• Listening Picnic: Relaxed sounds on blankets outdoors – a quiet, focused listening experience in the middle of the city.

City festivals throughout the year

Throughout the year, numerous festivals and open-air elements are once again planned in the city center. These include, among others:

• Strong beer season with supporting program in public spaces as the start of the open-air season.
• Lindl Sunday with open shops, street sales, and street music.
• Patronage Day with a city framework – tradition experienced outdoors.
• Spring Festival, Rose Days, Palatinate Wine Festival, Clubs Day with stages, presentations, and live music.
• Christmas Market as a winter open-air event with choirs, brass groups, and evening atmosphere on the town square.

Depending on the festival, stage and street programs are combined so that the city center becomes a meeting place for concerts, culinary delights, and encounters.
