Annual Program 2026: Stage for the Whole Year

Traunstein continues its culture-heavy annual program in 2026: Concerts, theater, cabaret, readings, and family offerings are planned throughout all months. At the center is the Kulturforum in the former monastery church, which will again serve as a venue and exhibition space in 2026. In addition, inner-city venues – including a traditional ballroom, rooms at the city park, a cultural factory near the train station, and selected churches – will be used for individual dates.

• Kulturforum: For 2026, classical concerts, jazz evenings, theater productions, readings, and exhibitions in the Municipal Gallery are planned.
• Low-threshold formats: Conversations with artists, guided tours, and offers for school classes are also planned for 2026.
• Citywide: Choir and ensemble performances, conferences, and cabaret will take place at various locations.

Museums and Knowledge Places 2026

Salinenpark: Open-Air Museum and Brine Pipeline

The Salinenpark is planned as an open-air museum in 2026 and will focus on the historic brine pipeline. Information offerings in the park as well as accompanying formats are planned to make technology and city history accessible.

City Museum in the Heimathaus

For 2026, exhibitions and presentations on city, economic, and everyday history are planned. The exhibition is aimed at interested individual visitors, families, school classes, and groups.

Brewery Museum and Printing Museum

Old Guard in the Town Hall

For 2026, regularly changing exhibitions are planned in the "Old Guard," often with regional positions as well as cooperation projects with schools and initiatives.

Art in the Park

In summer 2026, free concerts are planned on the town square. Bands, ensembles, and solo artists will perform several times a week. The city announces line-ups and performance days seasonally.

Tradition: Georgiritt and Sword Dance 2026

The Georgiritt on Easter Monday 2026 as well as the sword dance are planned as highlights of the tradition year. Exact times, route guidance, and accompanying program points will be published by the city in advance.

City Library in the Park
