History, Beer Garden, and Special Atmosphere
The history of the Sailer-Keller is one of its most important unique selling points. According to the official website, the tradition of the house goes back a long way: The Bavarian brewing regulation of 1539 regulated brewing only between Michaelmas and St. George's Day, and from the second half of the 18th century, conditions improved through storage in deep rock cellars on the outskirts of the city. The original Sternkeller of the Mittlere Bräu at the town square had various names over the centuries before it finally became known as Sailer-Keller. Originally built for the storage of beer from Sternbräu, it came into the possession of the Sailer family in 1896 with the acquisition of Hofbräuhaus and Sternbräu. This long development makes it clear that the name is not just a brand name but a piece of Traunstein brewing history that has grown over time. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/geschichte/))
From 1900, the Sailer-Keller developed into a traditional restaurant with a beer garden, bowling alley, bright hall, event rooms, and hotel rooms according to the website. After the introduction of electric cooling technology, large cellar spaces became available, where a bar and a disco were later created. The general renovation in 1999 brought new shine to the house, and since March 2005, the Zeif family has been running the Traunstein traditional tavern. This chronological development is valuable for SEO planning because it places search terms like history, photos, reviews, and tradition in a real context. The Sailer-Keller is not just any inn but a historically grown house with several phases of use that remain visible to this day. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/geschichte/))
The beer garden complements this history with a very current experience offering. The website describes shady chestnut trees, a children's playground, covered seating areas, and occasional lively music for the early beer. It is also explicitly pointed out that today no one has to bring anything themselves, as was once necessary in the early beer garden tradition. In connection with the freshly tapped beer specialties from Hofbräuhaus Traunstein, a very coherent picture emerges: historical depth, regional brewing culture, and family-friendly quality of stay. This mixture makes the Sailer-Keller interesting for visitors who do not just want to eat or stay overnight but are looking for an authentic Bavarian overall experience. For those searching for photos, beer garden, history, or reviews, the house is therefore particularly relevant. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/biergarten/))

This covers an important search field, as many users are not only looking for a menu or opening hours but also for Sailer-Keller hotel or an overnight stay in Traunstein. The house thus combines gastronomic use and accommodation at one place, which is particularly practical for travelers, family celebrations, and business appointments. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/hotel/))
The price information on the website is particularly specific, valid from January 1, 2025: The single room costs 80.00 euros per person, the double room 130.00 euros, and the multi-bed room 184.00 euros. A rich breakfast buffet is included in the room price; without breakfast, 9.00 euros per person will be charged. For guests searching for prices, hotel, or reservation, this is clear and direct information. According to the website, room reservations are made via the contact form and are then confirmed by phone or email. As long as no confirmation has been received, the reservation is not noted. This is an important note for booking practices and prevents misunderstandings during short trips or planned overnight stays after a celebration. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/hotel/))
Here, too, it becomes clear how closely the search intentions are connected: Those entering Sailer-Keller Traunstein hotel often want to know whether breakfast is included, what room categories are available, and how binding the booking is. The website answers these questions with a clear structure and a clear confirmation practice. For an SEO landing page, this is valuable because the combination of accommodation, restaurant, and beer garden offers a real added value compared to purely gastronomic results. Especially for longer stays or events, this creates a practical overall package that combines overnight stay, dining, and celebration at one place. This makes the Sailer-Keller a relevant address for guests who want to conveniently plan a stay in Traunstein. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/hotel/))
Celebrations, Weddings, and Conferences at Sailer-Keller
For events, the Sailer-Keller positions itself very broadly. On the official page for celebrations, weddings, and conferences, it states that the house accompanies family, friendly, and business occasions with decades of experience. Mentioned are jubilee celebrations, birthday parties, classmates, baptismal candidates, and especially bridal couples. The bright hall, the guest room, the beautiful beer garden, and the cozy parlors provide the suitable setting for this. This is relevant for search terms like Sailer-Keller Traunstein events, celebrations, weddings, and conferences because the location offers not just one room but several combinable areas. The website also emphasizes that wishes regarding food and drink, decoration, music, and technology are taken into account, as well as the budget requirements. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/feiern-hochzeiten-tagungen/))
The Sailer-Keller is also well-prepared for business appointments. The conference rooms can accommodate up to 100 participants and are equipped with a screen, microphone, and flip chart; a projector can also be provided upon request. This makes the house suitable for lectures, training sessions, meetings, and other formats where not only gastronomy but also functional equipment is important. For inquiries regarding conferences, hall, seats, or capacity, the website thus provides very concrete points of reference. Particularly noteworthy is the spatial diversity: In addition to the guest room with 70 seats, the website mentions the Bernhardi parlor with 50 seats, the Georgi parlor with 50 seats, and a bright hall with 120 seats, which can be expanded to 200 seats towards the guest room. This is a strong signal for users looking for a location with flexible size. ([sailerkeller.de](https://www.sailerkeller.de/wirtshaus/))
Another special option is the event location Klosterkirche. The official page describes it as a unique event venue in the heart of Traunstein, suitable for company parties, gala evenings, and weddings. The location is in the former Capuchin monastery, which has been renovated and modernized by the city of Traunstein. Here, too, the team works together with guests to create a tailored offer. This combination of historical ambiance and modern use significantly expands the profile of the Sailer-Keller and explains why search terms related to events and weddings are so strongly associated with the name. Those looking for a festive, central, and organizationally flexible location will find several harmonious options under one brand roof.

To start off I need to commend the service because we felt so much taken care of from the moment we walked in and we really felt that our waitress absolutely loved her job, looking after us as if we were her only guests. The food matched the great experience, served in a restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. In total, a wonderful experience and a place I can only recommend.

As soon as I entered the hotel and went up the stairs to the room, I smelled a strong odor of dead rat. I have never in my life seen such dirty presses as they were on the stairs to the floor. The room was very dirty, the carpet was not vacuumed, the pillow was yellow from the dirt, and the room smelled very bad. After I used the toilet, I felt a very strong itching, a sign that it was not disinfected. The shower unraveled twice when I took a bath. All in all, everything was below my expectations and not worth the 120 euros. I forgot to mention about the TV remote control, sticky; I washed my hands three times after accidentally touching it.

I was not very impressed by the food here. The pork roast was a tad bland and boring, as was the side dish of sauerkraut with bacon. The Bavarian stock pot was wishy-washy. Everything just lacked seasoning. At least the portion was huge and the service was quick despite being busy on a Saturday evening. A good place for having a beer though, try their local specialities on offer.

Bavarian style through and through and that Pope Benedict was a regular visitor here makes it even more attractive for city anthropologists.
