Directions and Parking at City Center Landshut
Getting there is one of the strengths of KINOPOLIS Landshut. For public transport users, the stop Am Alten Viehmarkt/CCL is right at the house; it is served by several lines, including 5, 11, 14, 106, and 109. From there, it is just a few steps to the foyer. Those arriving by train can reach the cinema from Landshut main station in a short distance; the location is described as central and well-connected on foot, with a distance of about 600 meters depending on the route. For drivers, the City-Center-Landshut parking garage offers a convenient, weather-protected option. Access is via Podewilsstraße, with exits leading directly into the center with a short route to the cinema. The parking garage is open 24/7 and offers a clear pricing structure: during the day, the first hour is free, each additional hour costs 2.00 euros, and the daily flat rate is 10.00 euros; in the evening (8:00 PM–6:00 AM), a flat rate of 5.00 euros applies; the maximum 24-hour fee is 15.00 euros. So, if you plan a whole cinema evening including food, you can calculate with predictable fixed costs. E-mobility is also considered in the area: charging points from the municipal utilities of Landshut are available at CCL; the exact locations and availabilities can be viewed on the operator's page. Access to the cinema itself is barrier-friendly, and elevators in the center make the way from the parking garage to the halls easier. Those who want to use the Landshut old town as a pre- or post-program benefit from the proximity: in a few minutes, you can be in the alleys, on walks by the Isar, or at dining addresses. As an alternative to CCL, there are municipal parking garages in the vicinity; the conditions vary slightly here. For navigation systems, it is recommended to enter the destination Am Alten Viehmarkt 5 or directly the parking garage on Podewilsstraße. Tip: On weekends, the entrance often goes smoothly; however, those targeting particularly popular screenings during prime time should still plan a few minutes for the route and ticket machine buffer.
Seating Plan, Halls, and Best Seats
KINOPOLIS Landshut has 11 halls with different capacities – from the smaller studio audience of around 75 to the largest hall with about 467 seats. In total, approximately 1,640 seats are available, which provides space for large-format blockbuster premieres as well as for intimate film series and special screenings. The seating plan can be viewed and interactively selected in the online booking system for each screening. This way, you can see available, occupied, blocked, as well as premium or D-BOX areas at a glance and can secure your favorite seats. Technologically, the venue relies on contemporary projection up to 2K, as well as 3D and HFR for enhanced motion resolution. The sound support meets current standards with digital multi-channel setups; the D-BOX motion seats rely on synchronized seat movements and significantly enhance the immersion experience, while premium seats offer additional comfort with extended seating feel and footrests. Regarding seat selection, the recommendation depends on the film and preference: those who appreciate maximum image stability and balanced sound typically orient themselves to a position slightly above the center of the hall in the transverse direction, such as in the rear middle area. 3D fans often prefer a slightly closer distance to enhance the depth impression without making head movement too large. For D-BOX users, it is worth taking a look at the representation of the movement rows; these are clearly marked in the seating plan. Barrier-free seats are provided per hall and marked on the plan; companion seats are located in close proximity. Since the hall layout may vary depending on the venue, it is advisable to pay attention to the legend in the seating overview. During peak times, premium and middle block seats are particularly in demand; those who are flexible often find a large selection during off-peak times. For events with a long runtime – such as epic premieres – the comfort of the seating category makes a noticeable difference, which is why the surcharges for premium seats are considered worthwhile by many guests. Overall, KINOPOLIS Landshut combines a wide range of halls with a clear seating plan and additional options that address both enthusiasts and families.
Vouchers, CineCard, and Contact
Vouchers are a popular way to give cinema visits as gifts or to plan flexibly. In the KINOPOLIS group, value vouchers can generally be redeemed in all locations, with a few exceptions (such as Gloria Palast Munich, KINOPOLIS Freiberg, and Universum-City Karlsruhe, where location-specific regulations apply). The modalities specified on the voucher are decisive for redemption online or at the box office; certain external vouchers may differ in online purchases, while in-house value vouchers can usually be integrated without problems. An extension of voucher durations is possible in individual cases through the central voucher support; it is advisable to contact them via email with the voucher number. Additionally, there is a bonus program via the CineCard premium, with which points can be collected for on-site purchases; the terms for online purchases are different, details can be found in the FAQ. For online ticketing questions, customer service is available daily by phone from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; email support times are on weekdays. The venue itself can be reached at the city-maintained phone number 0871 31 99 31. Frequent visitors benefit from the super ticket (5x 2D for 35 euros in the comfort area), which offers a straightforward multi-ticket option. Additionally, the cinema supports funding programs such as the KulturPass for 18-year-olds, whose budget can be generated via an app as a voucher of 15 or 30 euros and redeemed at the cinema – also online – (note: only for tickets, not for snacks). For all inquiries regarding booking, reservations, accessibility, special events, or school and corporate screenings, it is advisable to use the contact form on the location page; there, the request will be assigned to the appropriate area. Thus, KINOPOLIS Landshut sensibly distributes its service channels: central online support for shop topics, local accessibility for location-specific questions, and clear FAQ article navigation for recurring concerns.
Children's Birthday and Family Offers
Family-friendliness is a hallmark of KINOPOLIS Landshut. Particularly popular: the children's birthday at the cinema. The package is aimed at children up to and including 11 years and includes one cinema ticket per child (for screenings before 6 PM and with FSK 0/6/12), a kids' portion of popcorn (46 oz.), a 0.3-liter soft drink, and a small surprise. The birthday child has free admission; up to two adult companions pay the children's price in 2D or 3D (plus surcharges). The minimum participation is six children plus one adult companion; the request must be made at least five days before the desired date. Price-wise, the offer starts at 9.99 euros per child from Monday to Friday, and at 11.99 euros per child on weekends and holidays; possible surcharges for 3D, special seats, or selected halls may apply. For very young cinema fans, there is also the format My First Cinema Visit: child-friendly films with a short runtime, without commercials or trailers, with dimmed hall lighting and reduced volume – an ideal introduction from about three years at particularly low admission prices. Family-friendly screening times in the afternoon and on weekends round off the offer. If you are hungry after the film, you will find dining options in City Center Landshut; directly at the location is the restaurant 35 mm, which offers pizza, burgers, and classics as an uncomplicated addition to the cinema visit and also caters to groups. Convenient for parents: the central location with direct parking options in CCL and the public transport stop right outside the door make logistics and the way home easier. For individual requests such as cake transport, foyer photos, or thematic decorations, it is advisable to make a prior inquiry via the online form; the team checks availability and possible options. Overall, KINOPOLIS Landshut offers families a solid mix of fair package prices, easily accessible times, and clear processes, ensuring that the birthday or family outing goes smoothly.

Yesterday we were at Avatar 3. The staff is super friendly and customer-oriented, but I'm increasingly noticing that the cinema is just getting old. I was at the cinema abroad just a few weeks ago, and you can really tell how old this cinema is.

I was in Cinema 1, totally awesome! The seats were good and I had a lot of fun. I've never had such good armrests. Always to Cinema 1! Best, French Nishino.

We were at this restaurant with our granddaughters 2 days ago. The ordered curry sausages were edible, but my friend's salad was a complete disaster. The lamb's lettuce in it was absolutely not washed properly, so you just bit into sand. When clearing the plates (the salad was still completely on it), we pointed this out to the staff. However, she showed no real interest in our complaint. This was also noticeable in her tip. Since this restaurant had been closed for a long time, we thought that the decor might have changed compared to before. Unfortunately not, the seating is still unsightly worn and in many parts even torn. If we hadn't promised our grandchildren to jump in the play paradise, we would have left this location immediately after the first impression. Conclusion... if you're looking for a place for your kids to let off steam, this might be the right spot. If you want to eat well and feel comfortable, this is not the place for you.

We come from Augsburg and after a Heinz Rudolf Kunz concert in Landshut, we quickly went to the cinema. Everything is very big, but so are the prices. 38 euros for two tickets plus a few nachos/small drink. It was clear that it would be much more expensive than what would be reasonable for the two snacks. The prices are quite cheeky. With us, you can enjoy a movie for 5 euros, sometimes cheaper. Therefore, we find this absolutely inappropriate; there was also almost no one in the huge hall. Presumably, many prefer to go to another cinema rather than Kinopolis because the prices - as other reviewers also write - are completely inflated.

I have always been satisfied until now, but today we were in Cinema 1 and felt very cramped. The seats are more than cramped for curvy people. I've never had such uncomfortable armrests. Never again a movie in Cinema 1.
